Can 't add Hybrid workers to Cribl Cloud

I 'm trying to add AWS hosted Hybrid workers into our instance of Cribl cloud ( Leader ) .

The Workers VMs have been built using the CriblPrivateBuild from Amazon Marketplace .

All the firewall policies are in place already .

As per the instruction , I invoked the script from the leader and pasted it into our Hybrid Worker nodes but getting the following error ?

Can anyone advise please ?

Much Appreciated

    Run the script as root

Many thanks for that . It seemed to go further when I executed the command as root but it appears that there s no space on the device to open the required files .

Would the reason be because Stream is already installed as part of the AWS pre packaged solution ?

If that s the case what would be the best way to onboard the Hybrid workers into Cribl Cloud ?

    Thanks

I personally haven't used the CriblPrivateBuild, but I'd imagine, yes, Cribl is already installed. You just need t configure it to point to your leader node. There is another option in the Add Worker Node dialog for that.

I'm not sure you want to use the CriblPrivateBuild image in your case. Just use a plain ol ec2 instance and run the script you originally tried. I like the c7g series running aws linux.

For starters, you will need a blank AMI with at least 20GB of space so cribl can download the bits and run the scripts for the deployment. The CriblPrivateBuild is just a set of scripts that are used to build out a Cribl deployment. For now, the Build supports Amazon Linux and the ARM instances. I will be updating this post-reInvent.

Thank you all for your valuable inputs. However the hybrid workers have been successfully deployed into Cribl for some reason , although they were showing as down few hours later , I had to re run the script in order to bring them back up . As advised an install on a plain EC2 instance will probably offer better stability .

Just one more thing as seen on the image below , the Default Hybrid Worker Group provisioned status shows as N/A, even though the Workers are healthy , is that something to be expected ? I would have thought it should say Yes just like the Default Worker Group .

    Thanks in advance
